The Gift

This piece is inspired by 2020. It has been a tough year, but there have been moments of gold throughout. The best way to move forward and through is by kicking up your heels and dancing in the rain.
This mixed media piece features my original photography mounted in a 2" deep handmade white shadow box frame. I paint with translucent india ink and water on the inside of the glass and finish by adding some metallic foil detailing. When the light illuminates the piece, a layer of coloured reflection is revealed.
Bubble Bath

Inspired by a colony of flamingos in the Camargue region of France, this piece celebrates both the beauty and the silliness of these majestic pink birds.

Long Point Landscape

This piece is inspired by the Canadian landscape. Although it does not look like the traditional Canadian landscape art, it just proves what a beautiful country I live in that has such a wide variety of vistas!
